We can hardly believe that we’re celebrating our 16th year in business. It really doesn’t seem that long ago that a group of “fiber-obsessed” friends opened The Woolen Needle in a quaint historic building on the town square in Williamsburg, Iowa on July 1, 2006. Under the ownership and direction of Mary Blythe, it became our home away from home. New patterns were created, wool was dyed, and customers became friends.
In 2010, the shop was nominated by customers and we were honored to be included in the Fall/Winter 2010 Quilt Sampler magazine. It’s been loads of fun getting phone calls and visitors from all over saying “I saw you in Quilt Sampler…”
